Kimber Festival 2018
April 13 -15, 2018
Glenn H. Curtiss Museum
Hammondsport, New York
The Kimber Festival brings together enthusiasts who have a keen interest in M.G. history. Organized as an academic conference, the program consists of presentations about all M.G.s with topics that may include design and production, technical discussions, competitors and competitions and more. You do not need to be a NEMGTR member to present or attend. All MG enthusiasts are welcome!
The venue for this year's event is The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY. The Curtiss Museum features a wide variety of exhibits. You'll find aircraft, motorcycles and automobiles, along with exhibits that show the history and legacy of Glenn H. Curtiss, the history of Hammondsport, wine making in the Finger Lakes, women in aviation, and Mercury Aircraft Inc.
Our headquarters hotel is The Days Inn, Bath, NY. It is a short drive from Bath to Hammondsport and the Curtiss Museum – about ten minutes north of the hotel.
The registration desk for the Kimber Festival will open at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum. You will be able to take a relaxed tour of the facility and grounds during the afternoon. Dinner will be on your own and our Kimber Festival “Hospitality Room” will be open at the event hotel at the Days Inn. The Hospitality Room will be open from 6:30 pm on for a social gathering and flea market of items you may want to sell or trade. The Ontario Chapter of the NEMGTR is sponsoring part of the Friday evening refreshments.
Saturday morning we will be back at the museum for coffee and the start of the presentations. Lunch and dinner are included in the registration fee. Presentations will be held in the museum theatre and Saturday meals will be within the museum facilities. Schedule of the presentations are listed below.
